Zamalek are facing the prospect of another complaint from Ukrainian club Oleksandriya over unpaid amounts from the transfer of Brazilian winger Juan Bezerra, according to information obtained by WinWin.
Oleksandriya are preparing to take action against the Egyptian club after Zamalek failed to complete payments linked to Bezerra’s move from the Ukrainian side, with €800,000 reportedly still outstanding from the original transfer agreement.
The Ukrainian club is also seeking a further €100,000 bonus connected to Bezerra’s performances for Zamalek during the 2025-26 season.
A private source told “winwin” that officials at Oleksandriya had decided to file a complaint because Zamalek had not completed the payments owed under the agreement for Bezerra’s transfer.
The source said: “Zamalek owes Oleksandriya 800,000 euros from the transfer fee for Juan Bezerra, in addition to an amount related to bonuses for the Brazilian winger’s contributions to the Egyptian club last season.”
The outstanding amount relates to three instalments that Zamalek have reportedly failed to pay.
According to the details provided, the club was due to pay €200,000 on 15 March 2026, followed by another €200,000 instalment on 15 July 2026. A final payment of €300,000 had been due on 15 September 2025.
The dispute also includes a performance-related bonus. Oleksandriya are reportedly entitled to €100,000 after Bezerra recorded 15 goal contributions in the league for Zamalek last season.
The bonus clause in the agreement required the payment to be made within 30 days of the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
The issue comes after Bezerra’s departure from Zamalek following a prolonged dispute over his future at the Egyptian club.
The Brazilian eventually joined Emirati side Shabab Al-Ahli after insisting on leaving Zamalek. The situation lasted for more than a month, during which Bezerra refused to return to training with the Egyptian club.
His transfer to Shabab Al-Ahli has now been followed by the latest financial dispute involving his previous clubs.
Zamalek are already dealing with several other outstanding financial obligations as the club attempts to resolve its debts.
Among the other payments facing the Egyptian side are dues involving Moroccan player Abdel Hamid Maali, who previously represented the club, as well as amounts owed to Pharco and Zed in connection with the transfers of Mohamed Ismail and Amr Nasser.
The club is also waiting for a payment from Shabab Al-Ahli that could provide funds to address some of its outstanding obligations.
Zamalek are expecting $3m from the Emirati club, representing the first instalment of Bezerra’s transfer to Shabab Al-Ahli.
The potential complaint from Oleksandriya therefore adds another financial issue to the list facing Zamalek, with the Ukrainian club seeking payment of the outstanding transfer instalments and the performance-related bonus.
The latest dispute centres specifically on the financial terms of Bezerra’s move from Oleksandriya to Zamalek, with the Ukrainian club now preparing to pursue the amounts it says remain unpaid.
For Zamalek, the matter comes as the club continues efforts to settle a number of outstanding dues while awaiting the first payment from Bezerra’s subsequent move to Shabab Al-Ahli.
