Togo-Ghana winger Yaw Annor of Egyptian Premier League side Bank El Ahly is being linked with a summer move to Libyan Premier League club Swehly. The 28-year-old left-sided attacker, currently valued at around €500,000, has emerged as a target as Swehly look to add proven goal threat from wide areas.
Annor joined Bank El Ahly in January 2024 from Ismaily for a reported fee of €744,000 and has since established himself as a key part of their attack. Across his time in top-flight football he has produced a consistent return, with 24 goals and 15 assists in 87 Premier League appearances in one stint and a further 30 goals in 67 games in another, underlining his impact in front of goal from the wing.
The former Ghana Premier League top scorer, who hit 22 goals in the 2021-22 season with Ashanti Gold, has experience in both North African and European football, having previously had spells in Spain’s third tier with Burgos CF and CF Fuenlabrada before returning to West Africa. His ability to operate from the left while preferring his right foot has made him a versatile option for coaches across different leagues.
Annor, born in Ho on 3 December 1997 and standing at 1.76m, has seen his market value rise from €150,000 at the time of his move to Ismaily to a peak of €1.2m earlier in his career. Bank El Ahly have not publicly indicated a willingness to sell, and with no end date on his current deal disclosed, any move to Swehly is expected to depend on the Libyan club meeting the Egyptian side’s valuation.
