The next major gathering of Central Africa’s leading young footballers will take place in Yaounde, Cameroon, with the UNIFFAC U20 tournament scheduled from 31 August to 7 October 2026.
The competition will bring together the leading national teams affiliated with the Central African Football Federations’ Union (UNIFFAC), creating a month-long showcase for the region’s under-20 talent. Cameroon will host the tournament and compete against ambitious sides from across Central Africa in a contest expected to carry significance both for regional supremacy and for the development of the game.
The participating teams are Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Chad and Sao Tome and Principe.
With eight nations involved, the event will provide a demanding test for players and coaches alike. Each team will be seeking to establish itself at the top of the UNIFFAC region, while also using the tournament as preparation for future continental commitments.
