Real Madrid’s record signing Yan Diomandé is already making a strong impression in training despite having yet to make his debut for the Spanish club.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger has reportedly impressed during sessions at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground, with confidence in his potential said to be particularly high within the club.
According to ESPN journalist Rodra, Diomandé has been making a “very strong impression” since joining the Spanish giants.
The teenager arrived at Real Madrid from RB Leipzig in a deal which could eventually be worth €140m including bonuses, making the scale of the club’s investment in his future clear.
Diomandé has agreed a seven-year contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until June 2033.
The length of the agreement underlines the importance Madrid place on the Ivorian as part of their long-term plans.

Despite the encouraging reports from training, Diomandé is still waiting to appear in a Real Madrid shirt.
He has not played any minutes for the club during their pre-season campaign so far, with manager José Mourinho leaving him out of the squad for the early warm-up matches.
The decision is likely intended to give the young winger additional time to recover his best physical condition before he is introduced into the team.
That patience comes despite Diomandé arriving at Real Madrid after an outstanding campaign with Leipzig.
The Ivorian made 46 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists.
His contribution in front of goal and ability to create opportunities for teammates helped establish his reputation before his move to Madrid.
