South African defensive midfielder Xhosa Manyana has joined Hope FC from Cape Town City, completing a move that takes the 20-year-old into the next stage of his senior career.
Manyana, who operates at the base of midfield, switches to Hope FC after a spell on the books of Cape Town City, where he was involved with both the first team and development structures. The transfer was finalised on 30 July 2026, with the player now registered to represent Hope FC domestically.
Born on 9 January 2006, Manyana has already gathered senior experience in different environments despite his age. He featured in MLS Next Pro during his time with Cincinnati 2, making eight appearances and accumulating 264 minutes on the pitch, and also played in the US Open Cup. That stint in the United States came during a loan spell from Cape Town City in the 2024-25 season.
Before returning from America, Manyana had progressed through the Cape Town City set-up, moving from the club’s youth ranks into their reserve side and then into the senior squad. In early 2026 he spent time on loan with Kaizer Chiefs II, gaining further competitive minutes before heading back to Cape Town City at the end of that spell.
Hope FC have now secured Manyana’s registration from Cape Town City, confirming his move ahead of the new campaign.
