Troyes close to signing Togo international Karim Dermane from Lommel

ESTAC Troyes are reportedly close to completing the signing of Togolese midfielder Karim Dermane from Belgian club Lommel SK as they prepare for their return to Ligue 1.

The 22-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with the French club, according to Onze Mondial, although the transfer has not yet been formally completed.

Dermane caught the attention of Troyes after an impressive loan spell with Lorient last season, where he established himself as a regular in midfield and helped the club secure promotion back to Ligue 1.

Despite his performances, Lorient decided not to activate their option to make the move permanent, allowing Troyes to pursue the midfielder.

Dermane was developed by Feyenoord before joining Lommel and has already gained valuable experience in French football despite his young age.

Troyes believe the Togo international can bring physical strength and experience to their midfield as they prepare for the demands of top-flight football.

The midfielder is currently valued at around €2.5 million and remains under contract with Lommel until 2028.
