Tottenham set for Omar Marmoush medical ahead of €70m Manchester City move

Omar Marmoush is expected in London on Wednesday to undergo a medical with Tottenham as the Egypt striker moves closer to joining the Premier League club, according to the latest information from Sky Sports.

The proposed deal is structured as a loan with an obligation for Tottenham to buy Marmoush for €70m. Of that total, €58m is guaranteed, while a further €12m is linked to bonuses.

Marmoush is therefore set to continue his career in the Premier League under Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi, provided the medical and the remaining stages of the agreement are completed. His arrival would follow the recent confirmation of Savinho’s move to the London club from Manchester City.

The anticipated medical represents the latest significant step in a deal that would strengthen Tottenham’s attacking options. Marmoush is expected to travel to London on Wednesday, with the club now preparing for the next stage of the transfer process.

Tottenham have already taken an ambitious approach to the current transfer window. The club have brought in Savinho, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke, adding to a squad that will now be further reinforced by Marmoush’s expected arrival.

The Egypt international’s proposed move is also linked directly to Manchester City, from whom Savinho joined Tottenham only a few days before Marmoush’s expected medical. Both operations form part of a busy period of recruitment for the London club.

Under the terms reported by Sky Sports, Tottenham would initially sign Marmoush on loan before being required to complete a permanent transfer worth €70m. The guaranteed portion of the fee would be €58m, with the remaining €12m available through bonuses.

For now, Marmoush’s move remains subject to the medical and the formal completion of the agreement. However, his planned visit to London on Wednesday indicates that Tottenham are progressing towards adding another attacking player to a squad which has already seen four new arrivals.

The proposed signing would continue a particularly ambitious transfer campaign for Tottenham. Savinho, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke have already joined, while Marmoush is now expected to become the next major addition.

If the deal is completed as planned, Marmoush will work under De Zerbi in the Premier League and Tottenham will secure an attacking reinforcement through a loan arrangement that includes a €70m obligation to buy.
