Ezechiel Banzuzi, the Netherlands and Democratic Republic of Congo midfielder at Leipzig, is being linked with a move to Stuttgart in a Bundesliga transfer rumour.
The 21-year-old joined Leipzig from Belgian club OH Leuven on 1 July 2025 in a deal worth €16m. He has a contract with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2030, meaning any move would require Stuttgart to negotiate a permanent transfer rather than a free move.
Banzuzi has made 24 Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig, providing one assist, and has also scored twice in four DFB-Pokal matches. The central midfielder has accumulated 578 minutes in the league during his first season with the club.
Before moving to Germany, Banzuzi spent two seasons at OH Leuven after beginning his senior career with NAC Breda. He made 55 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League, scoring four goals and providing six assists, while also featuring 16 times in the Belgian European play-offs.
His current market value is €16m, matching the fee Leipzig paid to sign him from OH Leuven. The Stuttgart link is currently rated at 14%, with the proposed move remaining a rumour rather than a confirmed agreement.
Banzuzi’s existing Leipzig contract runs through June 2030.
