South Sudan Premier League secures sponsorship for matches

The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has agreed a sponsorship partnership with ECO Bus to support the Man of the Match awards throughout the 2026/27 South Sudan Premier League season.

The agreement, signed by the SSFF Investment and Marketing Committee and ECO Bus, will cover all 182 matches in the upcoming league campaign.

As part of the deal, ECO Bus will sponsor the Man of the Match recognition for every fixture, providing an opportunity to reward players who produce outstanding individual performances during the season.

The partnership is aimed at increasing recognition for players and strengthening the relationship between football and businesses in South Sudan.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mujahid Ali, chairperson of the SSFF Investment and Marketing Committee, welcomed ECO Bus’s involvement and thanked the company for choosing to support the country’s top-flight competition.

Mr Ali said partnerships of this nature were important to the continued development of football in South Sudan. He also stressed the value of recognising players whose performances make a significant contribution to their teams.

According to the SSFF Investment and Marketing Committee chairperson, highlighting individual achievements can provide players with further encouragement to maintain high standards throughout the campaign.

The sponsorship means that outstanding performances will receive recognition across the entire Premier League season rather than being limited to selected matches.

ECO Bus managing director Koch Madut Koch also expressed the company’s commitment to the partnership and to supporting the wider community.

Mr Koch acknowledged the role played by the South Sudan Football Federation in society and said ECO Bus regarded contributing to the community as an important responsibility.

He also recognised the effort required from players competing in the Premier League, pointing to their hard work, commitment and talent.

The agreement brings together the country’s football governing body and a private-sector company in a partnership designed to provide greater support and visibility for the domestic game.

The SSFF believes the deal will help increase the value attached to individual performances while also creating greater visibility around the South Sudan Premier League.

The Man of the Match awards will provide a regular platform for players to receive recognition for their contribution on the pitch, with ECO Bus supporting the award at every game during the 2026/27 season.

The partnership is therefore expected to play a role beyond simply sponsoring individual awards. It represents an effort to strengthen cooperation between the football authorities and the private sector while supporting the development of the league.

For the SSFF Investment and Marketing Committee, the involvement of ECO Bus is a positive development as it seeks to build stronger relationships with businesses and other stakeholders around South Sudanese football.

The committee has expressed its appreciation to ECO Bus for committing to the league and for supporting the recognition of players throughout the competition.

The SSFF said it was looking forward to working with ECO Bus during the 2026/27 campaign and to a successful partnership over the course of the season.

The agreement will see ECO Bus attached to the Man of the Match awards for all 182 Premier League fixtures, ensuring that players who stand out during individual games have an opportunity to be recognised.

The deal also provides another link between football and the wider South Sudanese community, with both organisations highlighting the importance of supporting the development of the sport.

As the 2026/27 Premier League season approaches, the partnership gives the competition a dedicated sponsor for its Man of the Match awards and places greater emphasis on celebrating individual performances throughout the campaign.

The SSFF and ECO Bus will now work together during the season, with the football federation expressing confidence that the partnership will contribute to greater recognition and visibility for the South Sudan Premier League.
