The Premier League has announced Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week for Week 2, with Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland among those included.
The selection, announced on 1 September, recognises the players named in the Premier League’s official Team of the Week, alongside Newcastle United head coach Jaissle.
Konstantinos Tzolakis has been chosen in goal for Hull City. The defensive line includes Dedic of Newcastle, Nordi Mukiele of Sunderland, Semi Ajayi of Hull City and Lewis Hall of Newcastle.
Fernandes is joined in midfield by Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest and Rayan Cherki of Lyon. The forward line consists of Saka, Haaland and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
Shearer’s team spans several Premier League clubs, with Hull City and Newcastle each represented twice among the outfield and goalkeeping selections. Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, Lyon, Sunderland and Brentford also feature in the line-up.

The announcement places some of the Premier League’s leading attacking names alongside a selection of defenders and midfielders from clubs represented in the Week 2 team. Fernandes, Saka and Haaland provide the most prominent names in the forward and midfield selections, while Wissa completes the three-man attack.
Newcastle has two players in the defensive line, with Dedic and Hall included, while the team’s head coach is listed as Jaissle of Newcastle United. Hull City also has two representatives, with Tzolakis selected as goalkeeper and Ajayi named in defence.
