Senegal striker Serigne Faye has left French side FC Rouen 1899 and is now a free agent after his contract with the Ligue 3 club came to an end. The 22-year-old centre-forward, who was born in Dakar and stands at 1.85m, departs Rouen without joining another club.
Faye, a right-footed attacker, moves into the market with a listed value of around €200,000 and experience across both French and Spanish football. He joined Rouen in January 2025 from Recre Granada and went on to feature in the French third tier as well as in domestic cup action.
Before his spell in Normandy, Faye had spent time in Spain’s lower divisions with Recre Granada, where he scored in both the Segunda Federacion and Primera Federacion. His move to Spain in February 2024 followed a period with Montpellier’s reserve side, having first arrived there in November 2022.
Across his senior career to date, Faye has accumulated appearances in Ligue 1, Ligue 3, France’s Coupe de France and Spain’s Copa del Rey, along with various lower-league campaigns in both countries. He has recorded goals in several of those competitions, including in National 2 in France and in the Spanish lower tiers.
Faye now officially leaves FC Rouen 1899 and will look for his next club as a free agent after his spell in French football’s third tier came to a close on 23 July 2026.
