During an appearance on MBC Egypt, Gomaa pointed to two individuals he believes are currently indispensable to the team.
“Imam Ashour and Mustafa Shobeir are the two difficult players to replace at the present time in Al-Ahly Club.”
His remarks underline the growing influence of both Emam Ashour and Mostafa Shobeir within the squad, suggesting that their contributions could prove decisive as the season progresses.

Gomaa also offered his assessment of the Egyptian Premier League title race, identifying Al Ahly as the leading contenders despite their current position in the standings.
“Al-Ahly is the closest to winning the league championship, it has the greatest chance, followed by Pyramids, then Zamalek in third place.”
At present, Zamalek SC sit at the top of the table with 43 points after the first phase of the season, level on points with Pyramids FC, who occupy second place. Al Ahly are close behind in third with 40 points, leaving the title race finely balanced heading into the final stage.
