England and DR Congo defender Rosaire Longelo has joined Notts County from Salford, completing a move that takes the 26-year-old left-back into League One.
Longelo joined Notts County on 1 September 2026 and has agreed a contract running until 30 June 2029. He becomes part of the club’s defensive options after leaving Salford, who play in League Two.
The Kinshasa-born player spent the previous part of his career with Salford, having moved there from Swindon Town on 17 January 2025. His switch to Salford followed a six-month spell at Swindon, where he arrived from Accrington on 1 July 2024.
Longelo joined Swindon after leaving Accrington, having previously spent time with Newcastle United’s under-23 side. He began his senior development at Newcastle after moving from West Ham’s under-18 team in August 2018.
The defender is 1.83m tall and favours his left foot, matching his established role on the left side of defence. His career pathway has taken him through a series of English clubs, with the move to Notts County representing his latest change of club.
Longelo’s arrival was registered at the start of the 2026-27 season. Notts County’s campaign includes League One and EFL Cup fixtures, while his former side Salford are competing in League Two.
He holds English and DR Congo nationality and was born on 20 October 1999. Longelo has now committed his future to Notts County through June 2029.
