Algeria international Ramiz Zerrouki has rejoined FC Twente from Feyenoord in a permanent transfer worth €2.25 million. The 28-year-old defensive midfielder, who was born in Amsterdam and also holds Dutch nationality, has signed a contract with the Enschede club until 30 June 2030.
Zerrouki heads back to Twente after two years on Feyenoord’s books, during which he collected domestic silverware in Rotterdam. He was part of the side that lifted the Dutch Cup in 2023-24 and added the Dutch Super Cup in 2025, experience that now returns to De Grolsch Veste on a long-term deal.
This move continues a familiar path for the right-footed midfielder, who previously spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Twente from Feyenoord. That temporary spell followed his initial switch from Twente to Feyenoord in the summer of 2023 for €5.2 million, after he had established himself as a senior player in Enschede.
Zerrouki first broke into the Twente first team in 2020, having progressed through the club’s youth sides following an early spell in Ajax’s academy. He has amassed 175 Eredivisie appearances, underlining his experience at the top level of Dutch football, and also featured in European competition including the Champions League and Europa League.
On the international stage, Zerrouki was involved at the 2026 World Cup, making three appearances for Algeria at the tournament. His arrival reinforces Twente’s midfield options with a player familiar with the club, the league and European competition.
Zerrouki’s transfer from Feyenoord to FC Twente is a completed permanent move, with his new deal running through to the summer of 2030.
