Quadri Allionida: Nigerian striker joins OFK Grbalj on free transfer from Melita

Nigerian centre-forward Quadri Allionida has joined Montenegrin side OFK Grbalj on a free transfer from Melita. The 21-year-old has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 as he takes his first step into Montenegrin football.

Allionida moves after a productive spell in Malta’s Challenge League, where he scored seven goals in 14 appearances last season. Operating through the middle and preferring his right foot, he averaged a goal roughly every one-and-a-half games in the competition, underlining his impact in limited minutes.

Born in Lagos and standing at 1.83m, Allionida began building his senior career in Europe with a series of moves that took him through Broad City and Czech side Ostrava’s under-19 set-up before arriving in Maltese football. He joined Floriana in September 2024 and switched to Melita on a free transfer a year later.

His performances for Melita in league action were complemented by outings in domestic cup competitions, including the BOV Challenge Cup and the Maltese FA Trophy, as he accumulated experience across different formats and pressures. That exposure has now earned him a move into the Montenegrin 2. CFL with OFK Grbalj.

Allionida will wear the number 19 shirt at his new club and is under contract with OFK Grbalj until the end of the 2026-27 season, completing a permanent switch from Maltese football.
