Senegal midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is the subject of a reported transfer link between his current club Tottenham and Turkish side Galatasaray.
Sarr, 23, is contracted to Tottenham until 30 June 2030 and has a listed market value of €30m. The central midfielder has made two appearances for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, although he has not started either match.
He joined Tottenham from French club Metz in August 2021 for a reported €16.9m, initially returning to Metz on loan before completing the move to north London the following summer. Since then, he has made 107 Premier League appearances for Tottenham, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists.
Sarr was part of the Tottenham side that won the Europa League in the 2024-25 season, one of the club’s recent major honours. His spell in England has also included appearances in the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.
The reported Galatasaray interest comes with Sarr tied to Tottenham for four more seasons, meaning any potential move would involve negotiations over a player whose current valuation is €30m. There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, and the rumour remains at an early stage.
Sarr’s contractual position gives Tottenham control over his future as the club considers any approach from the Turkish Super Lig side.
