Nzanza: Angolan striker joins Castellon from Leca in €60k move

Castellon have signed Angolan centre-forward Nzanza from Portuguese side Leca in a permanent deal worth €60,000. The 22-year-old moves to the Spanish club as they continue to shape their squad for the new LaLiga2 campaign.

Born in Luanda and standing at 1.83m, Nzanza arrives in Spain after a successful spell in Portugal’s Liga 3, where he helped Leca win the Campeonato de Portugal title in the 2025-26 season. His performances there have earned him a first move into Spanish football and a step up in league level.

Nzanza joined Leca in August 2025 on a free transfer from Banik Ostrava B, progressing quickly enough to become part of a title-winning side within a year. Before his time in the Czech Republic, he had spells with 1.SC Znojmo and Braga’s youth and B-team set-up, having initially moved to Europe from Interclube’s under-19s in Angola.

A right-footed centre-forward whose main role is through the middle of the attack, Nzanza’s arrival gives Castellon an additional option at the top end of the pitch as they prepare for life in Spain’s second tier. The transfer continues an upward trajectory that has seen him move through clubs in Portugal and the Czech Republic into a more prominent stage.

Nzanza’s move from Leca to Castellon, completed on 23 July 2026, is a full transfer and marks his first contract in Spanish football.
