Nottingham Forest have emerged as the latest club interested in signing Yacine Titraoui, as competition intensifies for the Algeria national football team midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old, who currently plays for Royal Charleroi SC, has drawn attention from several English sides in recent months, with Sunderland AFC, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers all previously linked with a move for the midfielder.
According to reports, Forest have now joined the list of suitors, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026–27 season.
Forest Seek Reinforcements Amid League Battle
Forest’s interest comes at a critical stage of their campaign. The club is currently positioned 16th in the Premier League standings with 39 points and remains engaged in a battle to avoid relegation, with only four matches remaining in the season.
Despite their domestic struggles, Forest have enjoyed a more encouraging run in Europe. The club has progressed to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League, where they are set to face Aston Villa.
Against this backdrop, the club is reportedly keen to secure Titraoui’s services, viewing him as a long-term addition capable of improving their midfield options.
Competition from Europe
Forest are not alone in their pursuit. French club Olympique de Marseille have also been identified among those monitoring the Algerian international, highlighting the growing demand for his signature.
Titraoui remains under contract with Charleroi until the summer of 2027, which places his current club in a relatively strong negotiating position. However, his reported market valuation of €7m could make a transfer achievable for interested teams during the upcoming window.
Player Focused on Club and Country
While transfer speculation continues, Titraoui is focused on finishing the season strongly with Charleroi, with the aim of securing a place in Algeria’s squad for the upcoming World Cup.
The national team is expected to compete in a group alongside Argentina national football team, Jordan national football team and Austria national football team.
The midfielder is also seeking to impress head coach Vladimir Petković, having recently been called up during the last international break. He featured as a substitute in friendly matches against Guatemala national football team and Uruguay national football team.
To date, Titraoui has made three appearances for Algeria’s senior team, in addition to representing the reserve side during the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 in Qatar. He has yet to register a goal or assist at international level.
A Crucial Period Ahead
As interest from across Europe continues to build, the coming months could prove decisive in Titraoui’s career. With Premier League clubs circling and international ambitions on the line, the young midfielder faces a pivotal period both at club level and on the global stage.
