Tunisia attacking midfielder Mootez Abou Kacem has joined JS Kairouan on a free transfer from Al-Rayyan, signing a contract with the Tunisian club until 30 June 2028.
The right-footed playmaker, who operates primarily in the No.10 role, returns to Tunisian football after a spell with Al-Rayyan. His switch to JS Kairouan was completed on 29 July 2026 and he will wear the number 10 shirt.
Abou Kacem previously left AS Kasserine for Al-Rayyan in July 2025, also on a free transfer, following several seasons in his home country. His move to Kairouan marks his third club in five years and a fresh long-term commitment in the Tunisian game.
During his time in domestic competition, Abou Kacem has featured in the Tunisian Cup, making three appearances and accumulating 293 minutes in the tournament. His attacking midfield profile adds creativity and technical link play between midfield and attack for his new side.
The Tunisian’s arrival continues a career that saw him step up from AS Kasserine after joining them in 2021, before earning his move abroad and now returning to sign a two-year deal with JS Kairouan.
