AS Monaco are stepping up their efforts to sign Frosinone winger Fares Ghedjemis, with the 23-year-old still one of the club’s priorities as they look to strengthen their attacking options before the start of the season.
The right-sided Algerian remains firmly on Monaco’s shortlist, according to Abdel Hamed, despite the continued interest of several other clubs in his profile. The Principality club have not abandoned the possibility of bringing Ghedjemis to Ligue 1 and are actively working to advance the transfer.
The player’s qualities have also attracted the support of Monaco’s head coach, who is understood to be convinced by what Ghedjemis could offer the team. That backing has helped maintain the winger’s importance in the club’s recruitment plans as Monaco assess ways to improve their attack.

Transfermarkt currently estimates Ghedjemis’ market value at €7.5m. That figure provides an indication of the financial scale of the proposed move, although the terms of any potential transfer would depend on negotiations between the clubs and the player’s camp.
The next round of discussions could prove decisive for both Ghedjemis’ future and the development of the proposed move to Monaco. With the player still under a long-term contract and interest coming from elsewhere, the outcome of those meetings is likely to clarify whether the Principality club can turn its interest into a formal agreement.
