French World Cup star Michael Olise will be looking for a new home in Munich by the end of August, just as speculation intensifies over Real Madrid’s interest in signing the Bayern forward.
The 24-year-old, who shone for France at the 2026 World Cup and has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu, is set to move out of his current residence in the affluent Grunwald district, according to German newspaper Bild.
However, despite the timing, the development is not believed to be connected to any imminent transfer and instead stems from a decision by the property’s owner, former Bayern defender Jerome Boateng, to sell the luxury villa.
Madrid push for Olise as Bayern insist he is ‘untouchable’
Reports in Spain and Germany have repeatedly suggested that Real Madrid are targeting Olise to form a formidable attacking partnership with his international team-mate Kylian Mbappe.
The pair impressed together for Les Bleus at the 2026 World Cup, prompting suggestions that Real want to reunite them at club level in a revamped forward line at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But Bayern Munich have made it clear they have no intention of letting Olise leave. The Bundesliga champions view the Frenchman as central to their long-term plans and regard him as effectively off the market.
Club hierarchy in Munich see the former Crystal Palace player as a cornerstone of their attacking project and are resisting any approach, despite Real Madrid’s admiration and the growing speculation surrounding his future.
Star winger to vacate home owned by Boateng
Bild reports that Olise will vacate his home in Grunwald by the end of August. The property, located less than a 10-minute drive from Bayern’s training ground, has been his base for the past two years.
The villa is described as a high-end residence with numerous rooms and extensive leisure facilities. It is equipped with a private gym, a cinema room and a large relaxation area that includes a sauna, Jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool.
The house does not belong to Olise himself. It is owned by Jerome Boateng, the former Bayern and Germany defender, who purchased the property in 2016 for €7.4m.
Boateng has now decided to put the villa on the market and, according to the report, has already received several offers. The current estimated value is around €11.5m, reflecting both the quality of the property and the desirability of the Grunwald area, long favoured by Bayern players and Munich’s wealthy elite.
Move unrelated to transfer talk – but adds intrigue
While the news of Olise leaving his current residence immediately fuelled fresh social media rumours about a possible switch to Spain, Bild stresses that the housing change is unrelated to transfer negotiations.
Instead, Olise is understood simply to be in the position of a tenant whose landlord is selling up, meaning the winger must find a new place to live in the coming weeks.
Nonetheless, the need to relocate, coinciding with an intense period of transfer speculation and following a standout World Cup campaign, is likely to keep the Frenchman in the headlines.
With Real Madrid monitoring his situation and Bayern adamant he will not be sold, Olise’s future on the pitch appears far from settled – even if, for now, the only confirmed move he will make this summer is to a different address in Munich.
