Manchester City sign Everton striker Ndiaye on five-year contract

Manchester City have officially announced the signing of 26-year-old Everton striker Ndiaye on a five-year contract, with the player confirming the move in a social media post.

The announcement, made on 2 September, marks the start of what Ndiaye described as a “new chapter” in his career. His message also expressed pride at joining Manchester City and excitement about becoming part of the club.

Ndiaye wrote: “A new chapter begins. I am very proud and excited to join Manchester City and become part of this club. This is a big opportunity and a new challenge, and my goal remains the same: to train hard and give everything on the pitch. I can’t wait to get started and experience the atmosphere of the Etihad Stadium with you all. See you soon, City fans!”

His post followed Manchester City’s formal confirmation of the five-year agreement. The club has therefore secured the services of the 26-year-old forward from Everton, although no further details about the deal were provided in the announcement.

Ndiaye’s comments focused on the opportunity offered by the move and his determination to make an immediate contribution. He said his approach would remain centred on hard work in training and giving his full effort during matches.

The striker also referred to his anticipation of playing at the Etihad Stadium, directly addressing Manchester City supporters as he looked ahead to beginning his time with the club. His message ended with an invitation to fans to see him soon.

By describing the transfer as both a major opportunity and a fresh challenge, Ndiaye underlined the significance of joining Manchester City. The social media statement was his first public message after the club announced the signing and provided his response to the move.

The agreement will keep Ndiaye at Manchester City for five years. His arrival from Everton is now official, and the player has made clear that he is eager to begin working with his new club.
