Malaga agree loan move for Napoli midfielder Stanislav Cajuste with option to buy

Malaga and Napoli have reached an agreement over a loan move for Swedish midfielder Stanislav Cajuste, with the deal including an option for Malaga to make the transfer permanent.

The agreement was reported by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, who said Cajuste has been given permission to undergo a medical examination before the move can be completed. The medical represents the next step in the process, with the proposed transfer structured as a loan followed by the possibility of a permanent deal.

Cajuste, 27, currently plays for Napoli and has made 35 appearances for the Italian club. During those matches, he has provided two assists.

The terms agreed by the two clubs give Malaga the option to buy Cajuste at the end of the loan period. The available information does not state whether Malaga will be required to complete the transfer, meaning the final decision would rest with the Spanish club under the reported arrangement.

Cajuste’s current market value is listed at €7m by Transfermarkt. That valuation provides an indication of his standing in the market, although the financial details of the proposed agreement between Malaga and Napoli have not been disclosed.

The midfielder’s move remains subject to the completion of his medical examination. If he passes that assessment and the remaining formalities are completed, Cajuste will join Malaga on loan from Napoli, with the Spanish club retaining the option to sign him permanently.

For Napoli, the agreement would allow Cajuste to leave temporarily while keeping open the possibility of a future permanent transfer. For Malaga, the loan provides an opportunity to add a 27-year-old midfielder to their squad without committing immediately to a full transfer.

Romano’s report is the basis for the information about the agreement and Cajuste’s medical clearance. No further details have been provided about the length of the loan, the value of the option to buy or the date on which the transfer is expected to be finalised.

Cajuste has made 35 appearances for Napoli and has registered two assists during his time with the club. His next step could now be a move to Malaga, pending the medical examination and completion of the deal agreed by the two clubs.
