French-Senegalese midfielder Noe Lebreton is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from NEC Nijmegen to Lille in Ligue 1.
Lebreton, 22, joined NEC from French club SM Caen on 30 August 2025 and has established himself in the Dutch side’s squad at the start of the 2026-27 season. The attacking midfielder has appeared in all four of NEC’s Champions League qualifying matches and has made three Eredivisie appearances.
He has started every Champions League qualifying game, playing 375 minutes across the competition, while featuring for 179 minutes in the Eredivisie. He has not scored or registered an assist in either competition so far this season.
The reported interest from Lille would represent a return to France for Lebreton, who was developed by SM Caen after joining their academy from Avranches in 2017. He made the move to NEC after progressing into Caen’s senior team, with the Dutch club paying €1.3m for his services.
Lebreton’s current market value is listed at €4m, while his contract with NEC runs until 30 June 2029. There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, and he remains a NEC Nijmegen player as the rumour develops.
