Leipzig linked with Algerian striker Mohamed Amoura in move from Wolfsburg

Algerian centre-forward Mohamed Amoura is being linked with a move from Wolfsburg to Leipzig, with the potential transfer involving two German clubs from different divisions.

The 26-year-old is currently contracted to Wolfsburg until 30 June 2029, meaning Leipzig would need to reach an agreement with the club for the transfer to proceed. Amoura’s market value is listed at €20m.

Wolfsburg are identified as a 2. Bundesliga club, while Leipzig compete in the Bundesliga, placing the proposed move within Germany’s domestic transfer market. The rumour was recorded on 2 August 2026.

Amoura’s position as a centre-forward is the only playing-role information attached to the reported interest. No transfer fee, contract offer or probability has been established for a move to Leipzig.

The Algerian remains a Wolfsburg player, and his existing contract runs for almost three more years.
