Swedish-Somali winger Amar Fatah has joined Lecce from French club Troyes for €1.4m, completing a move to Serie A on 25 August 2026.
The 22-year-old has signed a contract with Lecce running until 30 June 2029 and will wear the number seven shirt at the Italian club. Fatah plays primarily on the left wing and is naturally right-footed.
Fatah arrives in Italy after spending the previous season with Dundee United on loan from Troyes. He returned to the French club at the end of May before making his latest move, which takes him from Ligue 1 to Serie A.
The winger’s senior career began at AIK, where he progressed through the club’s youth system before joining the first team in November 2021. He moved from AIK to Troyes in August 2022 for €4.7m.
Troyes subsequently sent Fatah out on loan for three successive spells. He joined Belgian side Lommel SK during the 2022-23 season, moved to Dutch club Willem II for the 2024-25 campaign and then spent the following season with Dundee United.
Fatah was born in Solna, Sweden, on 19 February 2004 and stands 1.80m tall. His move to Lecce represents a return to a permanent club setting after a series of temporary transfers away from Troyes.
Lecce, who compete in Italy’s top flight, have secured the winger with a deal that keeps him at the club until the end of the 2028-29 season. Fatah joins having been valued at €800,000 before the transfer.
The move is the latest stage of a career that has taken Fatah from Sweden to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scotland and now Italy. His arrival gives Lecce a left-sided attacking player with experience of several European leagues despite his age.
Fatah has now completed his €1.4m transfer from Troyes to Lecce and is contracted to the Italian club until June 2029.
