Nigeria defender Izuchukwu Anthony has joined Krasava ENY from Akritas Chlor. on a free transfer, completing a move within Cyprus on 1 September 2026.
The 28-year-old centre-back has signed a contract running until 31 May 2027 and will continue his career in the Cyprus League after spending the previous season with Akritas Chlor., who competed in the country’s second division.
Anthony, born in Lagos, stands at 1.87m and is listed as comfortable using both feet. He began his senior career with Haugesund after coming through GBS Academy before moving to Jerv on loan in April 2018. He returned to Haugesund that summer and later joined fellow Norwegian club Nest-Sotra FK in March 2019.
The defender left Norway in January 2020 to join Spartak Trnava, where he won the Slovak Cup during the 2021-22 season. He moved to Israel later that year, joining Hapoel Haifa on a free transfer, before switching to Saudi Arabia with Al-Khaleej in August 2022.
Anthony subsequently had spells with Radnicki 1923 and Chinese club NT Zhiyun. He joined Radnicki 1923 in October 2023 after a period without a club, then moved to NT Zhiyun in January 2024 on a free transfer. His time in China ended in February 2025, after which he was without a club before joining Akritas Chlor. in August 2025.
His career record includes appearances in Norway’s OBOS-ligaen and Eliteserien, Slovakia’s top flight, the Cyprus League, Israel’s Ligat ha’Al and the Saudi Pro League. He recorded two goals and one assist in 32 OBOS-ligaen appearances, while also scoring three times in 28 matches in Slovakia’s Super League.
Anthony’s move to Krasava ENY is the latest step in a career that has taken him across Norway, Slovakia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, China and Cyprus. He joins the Cyprus League club after one season with Akritas Chlor., with the free transfer formally completed on 1 September 2026.
