Korona Kielce linked with Rakow midfielder Michael Ameyaw

Polish-Ghanaian midfielder Michael Ameyaw is the subject of a rumoured move from Rakow to fellow Ekstraklasa club Korona Kielce.

The 25-year-old right midfielder joined Rakow from Piast Gliwice in September 2024 for a reported €1m and remains under contract until 30 June 2029. His current market value is listed at €1.5m.

Ameyaw has featured in nine matches for Rakow this season, starting all six of the club’s Conference League qualifying games and scoring once. He has also made three Ekstraklasa appearances, with half of his possible league minutes so far.

The proposed transfer would keep Ameyaw in Poland’s top flight, with Korona identified as the club interested in taking him from Rakow. No fee or agreement has been reported, and the move remains at the rumour stage.

Born in Łodz on 16 September 2000, Ameyaw came through at Polonia’s under-19 side before joining Widzew Łodz. He later spent time at Bytovia Bytow and Piast Gliwice before moving to Rakow.

Rakow’s current campaign has included domestic league football and Conference League qualifying, where Ameyaw has played a prominent role. His long-term contract means any potential departure would require an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer.
