Juventus have dismissed reports linking them with a possible move for Morocco international Brahim Díaz, insisting the Real Madrid forward is not part of their plans for the current summer transfer window.
The Italian giants moved to clarify their position after reports in the Italian media suggested they were considering a move for the 26-year-old attacking midfielder as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
However, Juventus sporting director Giovanni Carnevali rejected those claims, describing speculation surrounding Díaz as unfounded.
According to Football Italia, Carnevali said rumours connecting Juventus with Díaz, as well as Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessié and France defender Theo Hernández, were “completely baseless”.
“There is no truth to these reports; while they are highly important players, an analysis of the costs involved versus their market value reveals that they cannot be part of our plans at this time,” Carnevali said.
The statement ends speculation that Juventus could make an approach for Díaz, who currently plays for Spanish giants Real Madrid and has become an important figure in Morocco’s national team setup.
Díaz, who represents Morocco internationally after switching allegiance from Spain, has been one of the African nation’s key attacking talents. His creativity and technical ability have made him a valuable player for both club and country.
Despite his qualities, Juventus believe the financial demands involved in completing such a deal do not match their current recruitment strategy.
Carnevali acknowledged the quality of the players linked with the club but explained that their market value and overall costs make them difficult targets at this stage.
The rumours emerged as Juventus continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new campaign, with the club exploring potential additions while remaining focused on financial balance.
For Díaz, the immediate future remains with Real Madrid, where he continues to compete for a place among a squad filled with some of the world’s top attacking players.
