Johnmark Atule, the Nigerian attacking midfielder currently with Kwara United, is being linked with a move to NPFL rivals Shooting Stars as interest grows in his progress in Ilorin. The 22-year-old, who wears the number 11 shirt for Kwara United, is under contract until 30 June 2027 but has emerged as a potential target for the Ibadan club ahead of the new campaign.
Atule’s performances in the Nigerian top flight have drawn increasing attention, with 42 league appearances and eight goals recorded in the NPFL. He has also made an impact in continental competition, scoring twice in just two outings in the CAF Confederation Cup. Those numbers have helped push his market valuation to around €150,000, a figure that is likely to shape any negotiations between the two clubs.
Kwara United signed Atule from Lobi Stars on 22 August 2025, and he has since established himself in an advanced midfield role. His current deal, which runs for another year beyond this season, places Kwara United in a strong position to demand a fee if Shooting Stars decide to formalise their interest.
With both clubs operating in the same division, any agreement would represent a notable piece of business within the NPFL market. For now, Atule remains contracted to Kwara United until the summer of 2027, with his future expected to depend on whether Shooting Stars move from monitoring to making an official approach.
