Hertha Berlin have reached a full agreement with Burnley to sign forward Oluwaseun Adewumiau on loan, with the move now only awaiting final paperwork before being made official.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that the deal for the 21-year-old, who is of Nigerian origin, is now “acte”, confirming that all key terms between the clubs have been settled.
The attacker, who remains under contract with Burnley, will join Hertha Berlin on a temporary basis after the two clubs agreed a loan arrangement. No further details of the loan conditions were disclosed in the information made public.
Medical completed and formalities ongoing
Adewumiau underwent his medical on Thursday and is understood to have passed the examinations without any issues. The remaining steps are now administrative, with the player finalising the last formalities on Friday.
The completion of these documents is the final obstacle before Hertha Berlin can announce the move officially and register the player for the new season.
Already with the squad in Kitzbuhel
Despite the transfer not yet being formally confirmed, Adewumiau has already joined up with Hertha Berlin’s squad at their pre-season training camp in Kitzbuhel.
He has been with the group since Thursday, integrating with his prospective team-mates and staff while waiting for the official green light on the move.
However, he has not yet been cleared to take part in full training sessions. Adewumiau must wait until all paperwork has been processed and the loan is formally ratified before he can train for the first time in Hertha Berlin colours.
Young forward set for next step
At 21, Adewumiau now appears close to the next stage of his career in Germany’s capital. The reported agreement between Burnley and Hertha Berlin, combined with his presence at the training camp and successful medical, indicates the transfer is in its final stages.
Hertha Berlin have not issued an official statement at this point, and Burnley have likewise not released further details, but all indications from those close to the negotiations suggest the loan move is on course to be confirmed once the last administrative details have been concluded.
