French-Congolese centre-back Chrislain Matsima is being linked with a move from Augsburg to Premier League club Fulham.
The 24-year-old defender joined Augsburg permanently from Monaco in July 2025 after spending the previous season on loan at the Bundesliga club. Augsburg paid €5m for Matsima, who is now under contract until 30 June 2030.
Matsima has started both of Augsburg’s competitive matches so far this season, completing 90 minutes in the Bundesliga and 90 minutes in the DFB-Pokal. He has not scored or provided an assist in either appearance.
The defender developed at Monaco, progressing through the French club’s youth sides before making loan moves to Lorient and Clermont Foot. His move to Augsburg followed that period of development in Germany, where he began the 2024-25 campaign on loan before returning on a permanent basis.
Matsima’s current market value is listed at €22m, while his long-term contract gives Augsburg a strong negotiating position should Fulham pursue the transfer. The available information does not indicate that an agreement has been reached or provide details of any proposed fee.
Matsima remains an Augsburg player, with his contract at the Bundesliga club running through the end of June 2030.
