Frosinone have set an asking price of €20m for Fares Ghedjemis after rejecting offers from AS Monaco, Celtic Glasgow and Rangers for the Algeria international.
The 23-year-old winger has attracted significant interest following an outstanding campaign in Serie B, where he was named the division’s best player after scoring 15 goals and providing three assists in 37 appearances.
AS Monaco are understood to have offered €7m plus a further €2m in potential bonuses, but that proposal was turned down by the Italian club. According to Foot Mercato, Frosinone have also rejected two separate bids worth €10m each from Celtic Glasgow and Rangers.
Ghedjemis’ rapid rise represents a major increase in value for Frosinone. The player joined the club from Rouen in 2024 for only €300,000, but his performances in Italy’s second tier have led to a substantial reassessment of his worth.
Frosinone are now seeking €20m before they will consider allowing the winger to leave. That valuation has already discouraged some of his suitors, with Rangers among the clubs thought to have been put off by the size of the fee.
The Algerian remains under contract with Frosinone until 30 June 2028, leaving the club in a strong negotiating position. His long-term deal means Frosinone are under no immediate pressure to sell, particularly after securing their return to Serie A.
As a result, Ghedjemis could become one of the most closely watched transfer situations of the upcoming window if one of the interested clubs decides to meet Frosinone’s demands. Africafoot reports that several teams are monitoring the profile of the Algeria international, although no club has yet matched the Italian side’s €20m asking price.
Ghedjemis’ next opportunity to make an impression will come in Frosinone’s opening Serie A fixture against Juventus, which is due to take place shortly. The match will mark the club’s return to Italy’s top flight and could provide an early indication of whether the winger remains with Frosinone or continues his career elsewhere.
The betting company 1xbet lists Frosinone at odds of 6.20 to win that match, with a draw priced at 4.15 and a Juventus victory at 1.19.
