Chelsea could make an improved offer for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, while Liverpool are continuing their pursuit of Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr, as five major African-related transfer deals remain active in the final hours of the transfer window.
Some of the negotiations are already at an advanced stage, while others depend on clubs reaching agreement before the deadline. Among the deals being closely monitored are a possible move to England for Camara, a potential switch to Liverpool for Sarr and a loan transfer involving Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri.
The most high-profile move could involve Lamine Camara. Chelsea have submitted an initial offer worth 45m euros, but Monaco rejected the proposal and are understood to be demanding a higher fee.
Further discussions remain possible before the transfer window closes, with Chelsea’s hierarchy considering whether to return with an improved bid and complete the deal.
Camara is under contract with Monaco until 2029 and is valued at 40m euros. The Senegal international earns an annual salary of 920,000 euros, equivalent to 598,000,000 CFA francs.
Liverpool are also pressing ahead with their attempts to sign Ismaila Sarr from Crystal Palace. The Reds are reported to have submitted a second offer worth more than 60m euros, but that bid was rejected by Palace.
Sarr is determined to join Liverpool and is reported to have escalated the situation by refusing to take part in training. The forward remains under contract at Crystal Palace until 30 June 2029 and has an estimated market value of 45m euros.
The Senegal international, known as the Lion of Teranga, earns 4,348,684 euros per year, or 2,826,644,600 CFA francs.
Nwaneri set for Germany loan
Ethan Nwaneri, the English attacking midfielder of Nigerian heritage, is reportedly close to joining Borussia Dortmund on loan.
The 19-year-old has not played a match for Arsenal since the start of the season, but an agreement has now been reached between the parties involved. Borussia Dortmund, known as BVB, will pay the entirety of Nwaneri’s salary during his time in Germany.
Ounahi nearing Panathinaikos return
Azzedine Ounahi is also close to returning to Panathinaikos. According to exclusive information from Africafoot, the Morocco midfielder is now only one step away from rejoining the Greek club.
Ounahi is contracted to Girona FC until 30 June 2030 and has an estimated market value of 18m euros. Panathinaikos have moved ahead of several rivals in the race for his signature.
Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven and Real Betis were also competing to sign Ounahi, according to exclusive sources cited by Africafoot.
Marseille consider Toko-Ekambi move
Olympique de Marseille could make a late move for Karl Toko-Ekambi. The Cameroon striker is a free agent and is reported to have agreed to accept a significant reduction in salary in order to join Marseille.
The remaining question is whether Marseille’s officials decide to accelerate negotiations and complete the transfer at a lower cost. Toko-Ekambi has an estimated market value of 1.2m euros.
According to exclusive sources from Africafoot, RS Berkane are also very interested in the situation of the Paris-born forward.
