Ezechiel Banzuzi, the Dutch-DR Congo midfielder currently at Leipzig, has been linked with a move to Bundesliga rivals Dortmund.
The 21-year-old joined Leipzig from OH Leuven on 1 July 2025 in a transfer valued at €16m. He has made 24 Bundesliga appearances for the club, registering one assist, and has also scored twice in four DFB-Pokal matches.
Banzuzi began his senior career with NAC Breda before moving to OH Leuven in 2023. His arrival at Leipzig followed two seasons in Belgium, where he recorded 55 Jupiler Pro League appearances, four goals and six assists.
The central midfielder is valued at €16m and remains under contract with Leipzig until 30 June 2030, meaning any potential move to Dortmund would involve a transfer fee rather than a free transfer.
No agreement has been reported, and the rumour does not include a proposed fee or probability. Banzuzi’s reported emergence as a target comes only a year after Leipzig signed him from OH Leuven, with the player still tied to a long-term contract at the Bundesliga club.
