French-Malian midfielder Djaoui Cisse, currently with Stade Rennais, has been linked with a move to Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
Cisse, 22, plays as a central midfielder and joined Rennes’ senior squad from the club’s reserve side in July 2024. He remains under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2030.
The reported interest comes at the start of the 2026-27 season, during which Cisse has yet to make an appearance for Rennes. He has not started or featured in the club’s only possible Ligue 1 game so far this campaign.
Cisse was born in Juvisy-sur-Orge and holds French and Malian nationality. He developed within the Rennes system after joining the club’s under-17 side from Bretigny’s youth setup in 2019, later progressing to Rennes B before moving into the first-team squad.
His current market value is listed at €10m, while his long-term contract gives Rennes a deal that runs for almost four more seasons. Any move to Frankfurt would therefore involve a player who remains tied to the French club beyond the current campaign.
