Jocelyn Janneh, the Guinea and Sierra Leone midfielder at SC Bastia, has been linked with a move to Hungarian NB I club Debrecen.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder remains under contract with Bastia until 30 June 2027, meaning any potential transfer would involve the French club negotiating a deal rather than Janneh being available as a free agent.
Janneh has made two appearances in Ligue 3 this season, starting one match and playing 23% of Bastia’s available minutes. He has not scored or provided an assist in those outings.
Born in Freetown, Janneh joined Bastia from Kayserispor on 23 July 2022 in a free transfer. His current market value is listed at €800,000, while his highest recorded value has been €1.5m.
He previously played for MC Marrakech before moving to Kayserispor in January 2022. Bastia are his club of more than four years, and his current contract places the French side in a position to determine whether to consider a proposal from Debrecen.
There is no reported transfer fee or indication of an agreement between the clubs. For now, Janneh remains a Bastia player, with his contract running through the end of June 2027.
