Belgium and DR Congo winger Cyril Ngonge has joined Monza from Napoli on a season-long loan costing €1m. The 26-year-old right winger has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027, with the move taking him to another Serie A club.
Ngonge, who favours his left foot, joins Monza after returning to Napoli from a loan spell at Espanyol at the end of the 2025-26 season. He had previously spent the first half of that campaign with Torino before moving to Spain in January.
The Belgian-born forward became a Napoli player in January 2024, when he moved from Hellas Verona for €20m. He had joined Verona a year earlier from Dutch side FC Groningen for €550,000, following two seasons with RKC Waalwijk.

Ngonge’s career has included spells in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. He began at Anderlecht before moving through Club Brugge’s youth system, where he progressed to the under-21 side. He later joined PSV’s under-21 team on loan before making a permanent move to RKC Waalwijk in 2020.
His switch to Monza gives him a fresh opportunity in Serie A after a period marked by successive loans. Following his arrival at Napoli, he was sent to Torino for the 2025-26 campaign and then to Espanyol, before completing his latest move within Italy.
Ngonge was part of the Napoli squad that won the Italian championship in the 2024-25 season. His current market value is €7m, while his highest recorded value has been €12m.
Monza’s agreement includes a return to Napoli at the end of the loan on 30 June 2027. Ngonge has therefore moved into a new chapter of his career without leaving Italy’s top flight, completing a loan transfer from Napoli to Monza on 28 August 2026.
