Cherif Diallo leaves Bordeaux and becomes a free agent

Senegalese-French winger Cherif Diallo has left Bordeaux and joined the ranks of footballers without a club after ending his brief spell with the French side.

The 21-year-old right winger’s departure was registered on 31 August 2026, bringing an end to his time at Bordeaux. Diallo arrived at the club from Chateaubriant on 1 July after completing a free transfer, but remained with the side for only two months before becoming unattached.

Born in Mbour, Senegal, Diallo holds Senegalese and French nationality. He began his senior career with Roche Vendee B, having previously developed through the youth system at La Roche. He moved from Roche Vendee B to Chateaubriant on a free transfer in July 2025, before switching to Bordeaux the following summer.

Diallo plays primarily on the right wing. His recent record includes 35 appearances in National 1, with three goals and two assists. He also scored twice in three Coupe de France appearances, while recording seven goals in 25 National Under-19 matches.

His senior National 1 appearances came across Group A and Group B, including 27 matches in which he scored three times and provided two assists. He added eight further appearances in the other group without scoring. In the Coupe de France, he scored twice in 71 minutes of action.

Diallo’s move away from Bordeaux leaves the 21-year-old available without a club at the start of the 2026-27 season. The transfer record confirms his departure from Bordeaux on 31 August 2026.
