Ghanaian-Italian forward Caleb Ekuban, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Hellas Verona in Serie B.
The 32-year-old centre-forward became unattached on 1 July 2026 after leaving Genoa, whom he joined from Trabzonspor in August 2021 for a reported €2.6m. The proposed move would see Ekuban return to Italian football after five seasons with Genoa and offer Verona an experienced option in attack.
Ekuban has made 108 Serie A appearances during his career, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists. His most productive period came in Turkey, where he recorded 20 goals and 12 assists in 83 Super Lig appearances for Trabzonspor.
He played a part in Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup triumph in 2019-20 and also won the Turkish Super Cup the following season. The forward was named player of the tournament in 2020-21 after scoring once in the competition.
Born in Villafranca di Verona, Ekuban has represented Ghana internationally while also holding Italian nationality. His career has included spells with Chievo Verona, Leeds United, Partizani and Genoa, as well as several loan moves in Italy earlier in his career.
Hellas Verona’s interest remains at rumour stage, with no agreement or contract details reported. Ekuban is currently listed without a club.
