Dutch-Nigerian striker Jay Enem is being linked with a move from Bologna to FC Lugano, with the reported transfer route taking the 23-year-old from Serie A to Switzerland’s Super League.
Enem only joined Bologna from Red Star Belgrade on 31 August, having signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2030. The fee for the centre-forward was recorded as €6m, while his current market value is listed at €4.5m.
The proposed move comes shortly after a brief spell in Italy, where Enem has yet to make a Serie A appearance. Before moving to Bologna, he featured for Red Star in the opening stages of the 2026-27 campaign, scoring once in two Serbian league appearances and providing one assist across two Europa League qualifying matches. He also played twice in Champions League qualifying.
Enem joined Red Star permanently in July after a loan spell at the club during the previous season. He helped the Belgrade side win the Serbian championship and Serbian Cup in 2025-26, having spent that campaign with both Red Star and OFK Beograd.
The striker began his senior career in Italy after progressing through youth football in the Netherlands, including spells with Ajax and AZ Alkmaar. There has been no confirmation from Bologna or Lugano that a transfer is close, but Enem’s future has become the subject of speculation less than a day after his arrival at the Italian club.
