Barcelona are monitoring Real Betis centre-back Jean Emmanuel N’Goran, with the Ivory Coast prospect also attracting interest from Rayo Vallecano and several Premier League clubs.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona scouts were present in Badajoz last Sunday to watch the defender, underlining the Catalan club’s continued interest in his development.
Barcelona had already explored a move for N’Goran in August, when they attempted to sign him for their reserve team, although the deal was not completed.
The latest scouting mission suggests the 18-year-old remains on Barcelona’s radar as the club continues to track his progress at Real Betis.
N’Goran is regarded as one of the promising defenders to have emerged from the Betis academy and is now set for an opportunity to train with the club’s first team during the current international break.
The sessions could provide an important step in his development as he looks to establish himself closer to senior football.
N’Goran joined Betis in January 2025 from Ghanaian academy Young African Promises and quickly attracted attention within the Andalusian club’s youth setup.
Betis subsequently moved to secure his future, extending his contract in March until 2030.
The long-term agreement gives the Spanish club greater control over the defender as interest continues to grow from clubs in Spain and England.
