Barcelona have officially completed the signing of 16-year-old defender Mikael Baza from Hamburger SV, with reports putting the transfer fee at approximately €500,000.
The Spanish club announced the deal on 2 September, confirming that Baza will initially join the Under-19 side. He is also expected to be gradually integrated into Barcelona Atletic as he continues his development within the club’s structure.
Baza’s arrival is part of Barcelona’s long-term approach to developing young players. The club believes its environment will give the teenager the platform to progress while also introducing him to increasingly demanding levels of football.
