Bahmed Deuff: Mauritanian-French midfielder linked with Royal Antwerp move

Bahmed Deuff, the Mauritanian-French midfielder at FC Nantes, is being linked with a move to Belgian club Royal Antwerp.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder has emerged as a reported target for Antwerp, who play in the Jupiler Pro League, with Nantes competing in Ligue 2. No transfer fee or formal offer has been disclosed.

Deuff has made three appearances for Nantes in the 2026-27 Ligue 2 campaign, playing 108 minutes in total. He has not scored or provided an assist and has received one yellow card.

The Nouakchott-born player joined Nantes’ senior squad from the club’s reserve side in July 2025, having progressed through the French club’s youth system. He remains under contract with Nantes until 30 June 2029.

Deuff is valued at €1.2m, while his highest recorded market value has been €1.5m. The reported interest comes as he continues to establish himself in Nantes’ first-team squad, having started one of his three league appearances this season.

No agreement has been confirmed between Nantes and Antwerp, and the rumour remains at the linking stage.
