Axel Disasi, the France and DR Congo-eligible centre-back currently at Chelsea, is being linked with a summer move to Serie A side AC Milan. The 28-year-old is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 30 June 2029 but is understood to be on the radar of the Italian club as they assess defensive options ahead of the new season.
Disasi returned to Chelsea this summer after a loan spell at West Ham United in 2025-26, where he experienced relegation from the Premier League. Before that, he spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Aston Villa, also from Chelsea, indicating that his long-term status in west London has been uncertain despite his lengthy deal.
Chelsea paid €45m to sign Disasi from Monaco in August 2023, but his current market value has since fallen to around €15m. Any negotiations with Milan are therefore likely to focus on how far Chelsea are prepared to accept a loss on a player who arrived as a major defensive investment only three years ago.
Disasi has substantial top-flight experience, with 130 Ligue 1 appearances before moving to England and 58 in the Premier League since his arrival. He also enhanced his reputation on the European stage by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League with Chelsea in the 2024-25 season.
With three years still to run on his contract, Chelsea are under no immediate pressure to sell, and Milan would need to present a proposal attractive enough to persuade the Premier League club to part with a player still tied down on a long-term deal.
