Al-Wasl sign Senegal goalkeeper Malick Sarr from AJEL Rufisque

Senegal goalkeeper Malick Sarr has joined Al-Wasl from AJEL Rufisque, completing a move to the United Arab Emirates club at the age of 18.

Sarr, who was born on 27 December 2007, has signed a contract with Al-Wasl running until 30 June 2029. The goalkeeper moves from AJEL Rufisque, who play in Senegal’s Ligue 1, to a club competing in the UAE Pro League.

The transfer was completed on 4 August 2026, with Sarr now beginning the next stage of his career in the United Arab Emirates. He stands at 2.02m and is listed solely as a goalkeeper.

Sarr’s move represents a switch from Senegalese domestic football to the UAE Pro League, with Al-Wasl becoming his new club for the 2026-27 season. The 18-year-old is a Senegal international by nationality.

Malick Sarr has therefore completed his move from AJEL Rufisque to Al-Wasl, where his contract runs until June 2029.
