Al Ahl move for Tarek Alaa after securing letter of intent

Al Ahly SC have taken a significant step in their pursuit of Tarek Alaa after reportedly securing the player’s signature on a letter of intent ahead of a potential transfer.

The move was led by board member Sayed Abdel Hafeez, who is said to have finalised preliminary agreements with the right-back, currently owned by Pyramids FC and on loan at ZED FC.

Early groundwork for transfer

According to sources, Alaa has signed documents confirming his willingness to join Al Ahly, along with a copy of a proposed contract outlining financial terms between both parties.

The agreement is not yet a completed transfer but signals strong intent from both the player and the club to move forward, pending negotiations with his current club.

Loan clause complicates deal

Alaa is currently playing for ZED FC on loan, with a clause allowing the club to make the deal permanent for a reported fee of 10 million Egyptian pounds at the end of the season.

This condition means Al Ahly may have to negotiate either with Pyramids FC or ZED FC, depending on whether the purchase option is activated.

Sources indicate that Abdel Hafeez has assured the player that the signed documents will remain confidential and could be withdrawn if the transfer does not materialise.

Rising profile

The right-back’s performances at ZED FC have attracted attention in recent months, earning him a call-up to the Egypt national football team camp in March.

His consistent displays have positioned him as a potential reinforcement for Al Ahly as the club looks to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season.

Next steps

While the signing of a letter of intent represents progress, the deal remains dependent on formal negotiations and the resolution of contractual obligations involving Pyramids FC and ZED FC.

Al Ahly’s interest underlines their intent to secure emerging domestic talent, but the final outcome will hinge on whether all parties can reach an agreement once the season concludes.
