Senegalese centre-forward Boucounta Sarr has joined Akhaa Al-Ahly from Al-Hedod SC on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old completed the move on 4 September 2026, switching from Iraq to Lebanon as he begins a new chapter with the Lebanese Premier League club.
Sarr brings experience of Lebanese football to Akhaa Al-Ahly, having previously played for Sagesse SC and Nejmeh SC. He also spent time with Bahrain’s East Riffa before moving to Al-Hedod in September 2025, with that transfer likewise completed without a fee.
The striker’s record in the Lebanese Premier League includes 32 appearances, 12 goals and two assists. He has also scored once in three AFC Cup appearances, giving him a proven record of contributing in front of goal in regional competition.
Sarr began his senior career with Al-Orooba before moving on to Sagesse. His spell at Nejmeh came during the 2021-22 campaign, when he joined the club on loan from Sagesse before returning at the end of the temporary move.
The forward later became a free agent after leaving Sagesse in July 2024 and joined East Riffa in January 2025. He subsequently moved to Al-Hedod before completing his latest switch to Akhaa Al-Ahly.
His arrival adds a Senegalese attacking option to Akhaa Al-Ahly’s squad ahead of the new Lebanese Premier League campaign. Sarr’s main position is centre-forward, where his previous league and continental goalscoring record forms the clearest measure of his contribution.
