Sparta Prague are close to completing the signing of Franco-Cameroonian defender Loic Mbe Soh from Sint-Truidense V.V. in a deal worth about €3m, with the 25-year-old also having agreed personal terms.
Mbe Soh was absent from training on Sunday and is expected in Prague for a medical before the transfer can be formally completed, according to InFotbal.
The Czech club are seeking a replacement for Asger Sorensen, whose departure has created a vacancy in defence. Sparta Prague have reached a verbal agreement with the Belgian club, leaving the medical as the next significant step before Mbe Soh’s arrival is officially confirmed.
Okoli attracts Serie A interest
Caleb Okoli could return to Italy two years after joining Leicester in July 2024, with Cagliari monitoring the defender’s situation, according to Nicolo Schira.
The 25-year-old Italian-Nigerian is under contract with Leicester until 2029 but remains highly regarded in Serie A. Alongside Cagliari’s concrete interest, another Italian club is also following him.
Okoli’s name has previously been linked with Torino, Monza and AC Milan, underlining his continued reputation in the Italian market.
Dennis completes move to Al Jazira
Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis is moving to the United Arab Emirates after Goztepe confirmed his permanent transfer to Al Jazira.
The deal is valued at €5m. Dennis, 22, joined the Turkish club during the 2022-23 season after leaving HB Abuja in Nigeria and will now begin a new chapter in a different league.
His move to Al Jazira brings an end to his spell with Goztepe, with the Emirati club securing his services in a deal that represents a significant step in the midfielder’s career.
Messi Bouli stays in India
Cameroon international Raphael Messi Bouli will remain in India after joining Punjab FC as a free agent following the end of his time at Jamshedpur FC.
Punjab FC announced that the 34-year-old striker has signed a one-season contract and will represent the club through 2027.
The transfer allows Messi Bouli to continue his career in the Indian top flight. He is set to play for a fourth different club in the league since moving to India.
Samuel Pedro heads to Latvia
Samuel Pedro has left the United Arab Emirates’ top division and United FC to join Riga FC in Latvia’s top flight.
The Portuguese winger of Angolan origin began his development in Portugal with Boavista before continuing at Benfica’s academy. He later built a varied international career, including European football with Olimpija Ljubljana.
Pedro, 25, also impressed in Norway’s second tier during his time at Jerv. He joined Dubai United at the start of 2023, with the club operating as a partner of FC Riga.
During his spell there, the forward ranked among the league’s leading scorers and helped his side finish second, securing promotion to the top division.
Maiga joins AS Douanes
Malian midfielder Sekou Mahamane Maiga has left Universite Football Club de Bamako to sign a two-year contract with AS Douanes, who play in Burkina Faso’s top flight.
The 23-year-old was named the best player in Mali’s third division for the 2025-26 season. He also played a major role in helping his former club win promotion to the second division.
Maiga’s move to AS Douanes continues a strong period of progress for the young midfielder as he takes the next step in his career outside Mali.
