Algerian defensive midfielder Adem Chaibi has joined USM Khenchela on a free transfer from CA Batna. The 25-year-old, who operates at the base of midfield, makes the move ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign after one season with Batna.
Chaibi arrives in Khenchela with top-flight experience already on his CV. Across league and cup competitions, he has made 27 senior appearances, contributing two goals and two assists while accumulating over 2,000 minutes on the pitch. His numbers underline a player trusted for regular game time and involvement at both ends of the pitch.
The move continues a steady rise through the Algerian game. Chaibi joined CA Batna in August 2025 from USM Annaba, also on a free transfer, after previously spending time with Chelghoum Laid. Each step has seen him establish himself further as a central midfield option capable of anchoring the side and contributing in possession.
USM Khenchela will look to Chaibi to reinforce their midfield options as they prepare for the demands of Ligue 1. His ability to sit in front of the defence and his experience in domestic competition offer added depth to the squad.
Chaibi’s switch to USM Khenchela was finalised on 21 July 2026 as a completed free transfer from CA Batna.
